Sam Helmy
Partner and Co-Founder
Sam trained in Real Estate Private Equity at AXA Investment Managers and Greystar Europe before moving to The Common Group where he co-founded the Sports Division. The Common Group acquired stakes in Vitesse Arnhem, Leyton Orient and Patro Eisden. Sam spent two years as a Director at Patro, including as interim CEO from 2022 to 2023. During that time, Leyton Orient and Patro Eisden achieved promotions to League One and the Challenger Pro League respectively. Sam also advised on the majority acquisition of Bristol Rovers in 2023. Sam holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences and an MSc in Management Studies from Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management). Sam is Head of Value Creation and Incubation at Chiron and sits as acting General Manager of Team Drogba, Founding Member of the E1 Series.
Leo Rifkind
Partner and Co-Founder
Leo practised as an M&A attorney for 7 years, including at Freshfields and Skadden Arps, before the acquisition of Charlton Athletic’s Men’s and Women’s Franchises with Thomas Sandgaard. Leo spent 3 years as Director at Charlton before leading their exit in 2023. Subsequently, Leo advised Wycombe Wanderers on their exit in 2024 and Venezia FC on its 2024 growth financing. Leo studied Law LLB at the London School of Economics, his Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School and his Masters in Business Law (LLM) at Berkeley Law School. Leo was also a Guest Tutor in Law of Business Associations at the London School of Economics in 2017. Leo is Head of Investment and Financial Advisory at Chiron and sits on the Investment Committee of Chiron’s dedicated growth fund.
Amir Fawzy
Amir was a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group in Toronto for 3 years, prior to which he was a teaching assistant at McGill University for Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. Amir completed a number of end-to-end advisory projects at BCG, including a sports event and fan engagement strategy across a range of sports for a Middle Eastern Ministry of Sport. Amir studied Finance and Economics at McGill University (Dean's Honor List) and is completing his Master of Business Administration at London Business School (Dean's List). Amir leads our London Business School research partnership and works as part of the Investment Team of Chiron's dedicated growth fund.
Subomi Odunowo
Subomi spent over 10 years working in investment banking, including M&A and capital raising roles at DC Advisory, Renaissance and HSBC. Subomi has completed transactions in excess of $10bn. Prior to joining Chiron, Subomi acted as buy-side advisor to a consortium seeking to acquire sports investment assets in the major European leagues and provided strategic advice to financial sponsors around sports development in emerging markets. Subomi studied Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the University College London. Subomi leads our Global and Emerging Markets Advisory Practice.
Dan Faermark
Dan Faermark was previously the Chief of Staff & VP Corporate Development of 777 Football Group, playing a dual role in the senior management team, looking after a portfolio of 8 football clubs. Prior to that, Dan worked in product and revenue strategy at DAZN, the global sports broadcaster, and as a value-creation consultant as Aston Villa FC, Burnley FC and RCD Espanyol, including on strategic and commercial matters. Dan spent 7 years in Investment Banking at Evercore advising companies across various corporate finance transactions. He holds an MA Hons International Relations from the University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK) and an MBA from IESE (Barcelona, Spain), and is fluent in English, French and Spanish. Dan leads our Credit Advisory Practice and works as part of the Value-Creation and Incubation team.
Rahul Shah
Rahul spent 7 years working in Private Equity and Investment Banking, with previous roles at BDT & MSD Partners, Rothschild & Co and HSBC, where he focused on the Consumer, Leisure and Sports sectors. Rahul has worked on numerous high-profile M&A transactions, including capital raises, take-privates, carveouts, structured minority deals and ongoing strategic advisory, with a total deal value in excess of $15bn. Rahul holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics. Rahul is part of the Advisory and Investment teams at Chiron.
